Boo woke up with a low grade fever and runny nose. A little Tylenol, a lot of water and juice, and some sleep will help to get him get back to normal.
Luckily, Boo has never gotten very sick; a low fever or mild cough doesn’t slow him down. Even when he is sick, he is like a little energizer bunny whereas AJ is more like a slug. It is amazing how different they are from each other.
By noon, Boo seemed to be feeling better and his temperature was normal. We decided to go relax on the beach, build sand castles and jump waves.
Boo was hilarious as he ran naked through the house trying to avoid the dreaded sunscreen. My boys flail like wild monkeys as they fight being lathered with sunscreen; I lovingly refer to it as wrestling the gators.
Once the wrestling match was over, Boo picked up his plastic golf clubs, grabbed a shovel and his favorite blanket. In an effort to save the blanket from the sand, I tried to take it and reason with him. Yeah right, Boo screamed out "blankie" and started to cry. In an effort to stop the crying, I rolled the blanket and tied it around his waist. He stopped crying, smiled and happily walked off to the beach. Upon set up, Boo made a beeline for the beach chair in the shade, clutched his blanket and fell sound asleep.

He woke up feeling great, and ready to play ‘Godzilla’ to the sand castles. Boo’s favorite part of building sand castles is stomping them to the ground. When we yell ‘GODZILLA’, he comes running. Grandpa is a good sport and builds castle after castle while Boo laughs and demolished them.
AJ had fun playing in the waves. It was good to see him confident, happy and comfortable as he jumped and tackled the small waves. He also dug a rather big hole with his bull dozer and filled it full of water with his dump truck.
The day was fun, the kids were worn out, and Boo was still feeling good, as long as he had "blankie".
Off to make another Mommy Milestone.
