Hallelujah – we’re home!
Labor and delivery were a breeze – yeah, right! – but more on that in a later post. The newest member of our family was born on Monday, September 29th at 3:26 PM: a bouncing baby boy we’ve named Jonas. He’s kind of nice and cute and sweet (and a little bit stinky) and we’re loving him up every second.
Our new Jonas brother is also very, um, lively. He’s a fiery redhead (I’ll post pics soon) but so far I’m handling the sleep deprivation quite well. Abby is really being a star, and not at all minding the chaos Baby Jonas brought home with him from the hospital. Asher’s "adjustment" is taking the form of being obsessed with Dan, which is much better than him being mad at me or throwing toys at the baby. He calls him Baby Donuts, so that’s pretty cute, too.
I just wanted to give you all a quick update and thank everyone for their kind wishes. I’ll be back soon with some more details and probably a little doom and gloom. Right now, though, I'm over the moon... not only because of our beautiful baby boy, but also because I'm thankful to have made it through the delivery without sprouting a new colony of hemorrhoids.
