I on the other hand would love a product like this. I always wondered about naps, diaper changes and feedings during the day while my baby was at the sitter's. I agree that every 1/2 hr is extreme, but an overview of the day would be great.

I totally would have used this for both my kids. With my first, I wrote down EVERYTHING for several months! I still have that tiny little notebook that documented feedings, dirty diapers, and nap times. With my second baby, we were not as documented but I would have used something like this for sure. I wish I knew about it during the first few months. I would definietly give this as a shower gift to a first time mom!

I checked in with Angela -- she is indeed a first time mom -- but not one to take written notes of everything, so that's why this was so perfect for her. She said she absolutely thinks it would be worth the money -- and I personally think it would make a perfect baby shower gift!

Incidentally, I talked to the owners/creators of the company/product when I was at ABC -- they are a really amazing couple, with more than one child. It was cool to hear how the dad was SO into the idea and so involved with the feeding and care of his kids. The one thing they pointed out that was so helpful to them personally was that if she was out of town, or if he was the one to get up with the baby, the Itzbeen kept them all on the same page. I suppose written notes would do the same -- but this was much easier for them. :)

Were you a first time parent when you reviewed this? I found that I wrote down everything when I had my first - every feeding, poop, burp, etc. But my second has to be more of a go with the flow kid. Sometimes my husband and I look at each other and say, "Did you change a poopy diaper today?" There is something to this birth order theory - we have created a Type A first child!

I probably would have used an item like this if I was given it as a shower gift. But I'm truly not sure it would have been worth the purchase price for me. Thoughts?
