She’s an international ice skating icon, a philanthropist, a hockey wife, a mom, and now, a she’s a diva on the dance floor! Listen in as Kristi Yamaguchi answers our questions.

ePregnancy.com: Kristi, you have been a role model for so many young girls. What is your advice to those embarking on an Olympic path?

Kristi: My advice to those embarking on an Olympic path: set goals for yourself, work hard and believe in yourself.

ePregnancy.com: Okay, we cannot help it; the curiosity is killing us. Where do you keep your gold medal?

Kristi: My Olympic gold medal [from the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville, France] is in the U.S. Figure Skating Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
 
ePregnancy.com: We adore moms in the public eye who use their unique position to help others. Can you tell us a bit about the Always Dream Foundation?

ePregnancy.com: You have such a beautiful family! Can you share a bit about life in a home with your hockey-playing husband and two precious young daughters?

Kristi: Thank you! I'm very busy with my daughters' activities and keeping up with Bret's (Stanley Cup winning Carolina Hurricanes’ defenseman, Bret Hedican) hockey schedule!
 
ePregnancy.com: With your grace, athleticism and charisma, but we think you are a shoo-in to win the current season of “Dancing with the Stars!” Can you tell us about how you got involved with the show, about what it’s like working on the show, and how your family is responding?

Kristi: DWTS extended an invitation to me and I accepted after some thought. Working on the show, I have met so many wonderful people and [partner] Mark [Ballas] has been such a great teacher. I have put in a lot of hard work and time away from my family but it's been a lot of fun learning how to dance. My family has been very supportive and excited for me!
