    When you were TTC...

What things did you do to help the chances. I want DH to start taking vitamins and extra vit. C but he thinks I am crazy. How do I make him understand his health is just as important. Also, how do I nicely tell him e needs to lose weight. He complains and complains but does nothing. Our apartments have a 24 hr fitness center but he says he doesnt have anywhere to work out. I know his weight can cause a problem in his "men". I am worried he is going to have problems soon, worse than having a hard time with TTC. Thanks in advance for the help.

Women have the power of sex. :? Use that to your advantage. Tell your man that you think he is sexy but would love it if he would put more muscle on. Bribe him with sex as bad as that sounds he won;t mind doing more crunches if it means he gets laid more. :) The hardest thing about working out is working out by yourself. So make workout dates with him. Just one guys point of view.

    Re: When you were TTC...

I got a great book - The natural way to better babies by Francesca Naish and Janette Roberts.  It points out the importance of your health and lifestyle for both parents and the consequences of not being proactive.  At first my husband thought "do the deed and sow the seed" and that is all he had to do but at night while I read I would say  "oh this is interesting............" and read a few bits to him, especially about the diet and exercise and healthy sperm,  after 3 months of not getting pregnant I came home from work early one day and found him reading the book - now we are on the same wavelenght, eating well (not really dieting per say) and doing exercise together which is also bringing us together without the stress of timing, ovulation, temperature and position. Good luck - we all know men are stubborn - I don't think your story is any different to anyone else when you start out TTC, I know at first I took it personally but have learnt to share my concerns with my husband.
