I hope someone can give me some magic advice! :) Our 7 month old still won't sleep through the night. She is bottle fed and still wakes up about 2 am. She wakes up crying and won't go back to sleep with just patting or humming. About the only thing that does work is giving her a bottle. I have tried to let her cry it out, but can only do that for so long. I work outside the home full time and it is really wearing on me being up every night. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

I think my DD was about 9 months before she started skipping the middle of the night feeding. It's common for 7 moth olds to still need the middle of the night feeding.

Lucky you :lol: ! My 7 month old still wakes up every 2 hours or so, some nights, like the past 2 nights she wakes up every hour. On really good nights, she'll sleep for a 4 hour stretch and then go back to waking up every 2 hours. So I wish I could help, but maybe your baby is just hungry at 2am, and needs to eat. Nothing but nursing and lots of rocking will put my daughter to sleep.

same here. Ava is still waking every few hours and wants to nurse every time she's awake. I realized I just need to change my expectations on sleeping through the night...maybe by one year?

It's common for a 7 month old to still need to wake up at night. What time are you putting her to bed by the way? 6 hours is pretty much considered through the night when its a child 12 months and under. If she's going to bed at 8 that's 6 hours and she's doing pretty well.

I stopped breastfeeding at 7 months and I remember giving him a bottle in the middle of the night for at least a couple more months. His doctor said he will sleep through the night when he's ready and not before. Some things you just can't rush.
