I was in SO MUCH PAIN...

last night! Around 4 a.m. I woke up with this radiating pain from my lower right back wrapping around to my groin. It was terrible! I got up and walked around a bit- and that helped, but as soon as I went to lay down again it started just RADIATING pain. So I spent the hours of 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. sitting straight up in bed. (the only way my pain was relieved) When my OB office opened at 8 I called right away and talked to the midwife who said it sounded like normal pregnancy aches and pains?? But to come in to do a urine sample incase it is kindey related. But she wasn't concernced about baby at all because I had just been in there and everything was fine. So I did the urine sample... now I'm waiting on the results. But wow- that was painful last night! Although I must admit, I feel much better today. I am still getting this really uncomfortable pressure all through my side and down into my groin though. Hmmm... have any of you ever had this?

Okay, and on a totally different REALLY disgusting note, have any of you ever strained really hard to go to the bathroom and had teeny spots of blood as a result? I am still pretty constipated so when I go to the bathroom it can be quite painful, but today I was really straining and its almost like a tiny little cut formed... everytime I pressed toilet paper to it, it would dot little red/pink blood. AHH!! Pregnancy can be really gross sometimes!

So anyways if you guys have any experience with any or all of this crap, I would love to hear that it all turns out okay and eventually goes away! :)

Awwww, Ash I hope you feel better and can relax and enjoy your pregnancy a little.

As far as the back, could be a kidney infection but I've never had it radiate around and down through my groin (use to get them a lot when I was younger). Mostly just my back hurt and it hurt to pee. Maybe it's sacrum pain. Is it in your lower back? Like middle hip area? I know when mine acts up it sometimes hurt in my groin and down my leg.

As far as the poopin' thing goes, yep have had that happen before. Mostly mine is because I have had the lovely hemmies from being pg with Garrett and they never quite disappeared totally. Try some witch hazel on a cotton ball and dab after you go to the bathroom.

Hugs to ya! You sound like you could use one! :D

ETA- Edited because I meant to say sacrum not siatic.(changed it) Geez, how manymore brain cells could I possibly lose! lol. Sorry about the mistake. I was up half the night thinking about it.

Re: I was in SO MUCH PAIN...

Aaahhh, the joys and miseries of pregnancy! You need to eat foods that are high in fiber. You could even talk to your OB about a stool softener to help with the constipation. It is very normal for your body to experience all these things, it has a little parasite growing in it and relocating things to places they don't belong, even at 11 weeks. I can't tell you it gets any better either. You experience a new ache or pain or some other crazy pregnant thing as you go along. It will all go away once you have the baby and then you'll forget all about it, it'll have been worth it, I promise.
