This is kind of odd/sad story in a way but my sister is due in January with twin girls. She lived with me, my fiance and my two boys (5 and 9) because she was trying to get her life back in order. She got herself into trouble again and now was sentenced to seven years in prison.

Myself and my Fiance have agreed to take guardinship of the sweet angels when they are born. Everything just sort of happened this week so I'm at a lose for what I should do first? Of course I've already given my kids stuff to the Good Will. I'm wondering what I should do differently to prepare for twins? How should they sleep? So many questions. I'm going to go buy some books tonight but was wondering if you ladies had any advice for me?

I have so much to do in the next couple months and our wedding was planned for the month after they are due and has been planned for a year and a half so I can't change that around. Luckly most of the wedding planning is done and I can concentrate on the twins and getting ready for them.

You are a wonderful person for taking on the twins when they are born! There are a few moms on here with twins that would be more help than me. I just wanted to wish you good luck!

I'm expecting twins in November. So I may not have to much advice but have read some books that may help. Le tme know if you have any questions

A friend told me about your post---and I just had to pop online to extend my admiration...and any twin "tips" I could!

One thing I would absolutely recommend is trying to get in touch with your local branch of a mothers of twins club.
Most of them have HUGE yard sales in the fall and in the spring; and you could undoubtedly get some great deals. (By the way, you do NOT need "two of everything"!) There is typically a nominal membership fee, but even if you elect not to join the group, when you explain your situation, they may allow you to attend the sale. To find your local chapter you can visit www.nomotc.org . If you do join the local group, many of the clubs also have "Mentor Mama" or "Big Sisters" programs where you can get some one-on-one support from an experienced twin mama in your area, and that could be very helpful. :)

Your boys are of an age where they may be great little helpers as well.
