i dont know who is still around these boards, but here is an update:

 Randy is almost 15 months old. He is all running around. Finally says Mommy.  He is doing really well.

We go to court for the preliminary hearing for my brother in law on October 10th. I am anxious!

That;s about it.

 oh Paula, that's got to be horrible to have to relive everything in court...in front of your brother in law. 

glad to hear that Randy is doing well.  when are you going to start posting on the first tri board?   i miss all of you girls!

I cant believe you are on the first trimester boards, since Ava is the same age as Randy.  We miss you too.

Sorry to butt in on your conversation girls , but I just wanted to say I am glad Randy is doing well Paula!  I've watched your story on and off for a while.  So there still don't seem to be any long-term affects?  I'm sorry you have to go through this and I can't imagine what the tension within your family must be like, but what's important is that Randy is okay and in your arms.  Best wishes!

Thus far, no long term affects.  the doctors are pretty confident that there won't be any.  But you just can never tell.  I am just sad  because anything that ever goes wrong, I wonder if it has to do with this...later down the line, if he gets a C on his report card, I'll be thinking, would he get all A's if he wasn't injured.  So, it kinda took about my "innocence" for a lack of a better word.  I'll always worry about it and how it affected him.

But so far, he is right on time for all of his milestones. We go back to the eye doctor in 2 weeks to see how the eye healed and make sure there is no remaining scars.  Ugh.

I can only imagine what you have gone through.  I really hope everything goes well in court.  Thanks for the update and best wishes now and always!
