I don't think it matters. I really wanted an expensive bouncy seat for my youngest. I had hand me downs for my other two kids, and my youngest was my last child, so I wanted to have something new for a change. She didn't enjoy it any more than the other two did the hand me downs. I think it is just another case of trying to keep up the the Jones's when we buy these expensive contraptions that they only use for a couple of months. Just my opinion.
