So what do you keep in your diaper bag?  What is necessary and what do you drag around but never need?

nothing.. never used one.. never figured out why I needed to carry baby shampoo around with me.. I had extra diapers in the glove compartment.. that's it..

Diapers in the sizes needed for whichever kids are in diapers (at the moment sizes 2 and 4), a package of wipes - a full size one, not a tiny travel one, two changes of clothes for the baby, two knit dresses that would fit any of the three girls, a XL t-shirt in case DH or I end up needing one (added that after having a very explosive diaper get all over me), and extra burp cloth and blanket (a/c is cold down here and whenever we go inside somewhere the baby needs a blanket), a granola bar since DH is hypoglycemic, a small travel thing of formula that I got in the mail in case there is ever an emergency, a small first aid kit, a plastic changing pad, a couple of plastic bags in case I need them for soiled clothes, infant tylenol and extra binkies.

Our diaper bag is a life saver, carry it everywhere. I keep 2-3 diapers, a whole pack of wipes(so many uses for them), a change of clothes, bib, hand sanitizer wipes for kids, diaper rash cream, an extra pacifier, infant Tylenol, small toy for entertainment emergencies and most importantly snacks!!! I keep mini-pack of raisins and other Gerber graduates snacks. This is very important b/c we live in a rural place where it takes 10 minutes to get anywhere. I keep a thermometer in there as well but I never use it. If your looking for a pretty bag, look up petunia pickle bottom. Gorgeous bags! I received one from a friend and I absolutely love it!!!
