Please help. My friend is very worried about her little girls eating habits.

    Hi there,

I am hoping someone can offer a little advice that I can pass on to my friends who are very concerned about their 12mth old daughter's eating habits.

Zoe suffers from reflux and she is currently on 'reflux formula' but she has a lot of difficulty digesting foods. Solids, pureed foods, rice cereal, she tries to eat them all, and in some cases they stay down for up to three hours, but eventually she brings most of it back up again.

Understandably Zoe's parents are very concerned. Over the past 6 months they have taken her to many doctors but most have just said 'Don't worry. She'll put on weight soon'. In the meantime she falls more and more behind her the average weight for her age. She currently weighs less than 7kg.

Zoe turned 1 last weekend but she spent three days in hospital with an IV drip in her arm in hospital. In that space of time she put on .5kg but her weight has dropped again since she returned home.

Zoe has two great parents who would do anything to help their little girl and would appreciate any advice anyone can offer.

    thankyou

hello! i would suggest trying to find a good pediatric gastroentrologist, they would be able to do the appropriate tests (if she hasnt had them already) like an EGD (to see whats going on in her intestines and stomach) , it really seems like the doctor's arent paying enough attention to what is really going on..maybe she should be tested for food allergies or maybe shes allergic to starch (like the ingredient they put in rice, bread, etc)..

hope this helps and hope she gets better!

    Hi there

I can totally sympathize with your friends situation......both of my sons were born with reflux, acid reflux to be exact.  We took my youngest to every doctor for 2 yrs to no avail.  They did do every test available, saw the specialists, even checked things inside his brain, & tried every formula & breast feeding.

Here's what worked:  Reliv food supplement!  I had life changing results & decided to have my kids try it for the reflux & other allergies they suffered from.  My son got almost immediate results.  He now can eat or drink anything without hives or diarrhea, he sleeps thru the nite & his immune system is strong so no colds or flu.

Everyone deserves to know about this & your friends child is in a serious situation which requires attention soon.

    God bless, Jennifer
