    VBAC?

I am wanting to have a VBAC this time around. With dd, I had a C-Section because her heart rate dropped a couple of times and my dr just wanted to get her out to be on the safe side.  My family thinks I am crazy because I don't really want a C-Section this time. I will do it if I have to, I just wanna atleast try. Has anyone had a successful VBAC? Anyone have any VBAC advice?

    Re: VBAC?

I had a c-section with my first birth due to failure to progress, and a sucessful VBAC 2 years later. My vaginal delivery was 8lbs 13oz compared to the 8lb 3oz c-section baby. It was a great experience. Talk to your health care practioner, usually you get a trial of labor depending on the cause of your c-section as well as the type of incision that you had. If you had a bikini incision as I did there is not a great chance of uterine rupture. Strive to have the kind of birth experience that you want. A c-section is after all major surgery and carries with it all the risks. The recovery from a vaginal delivery was much easier. Good Luck!

c-section was due to failure to progress and baby size(8lbs 15.3 oz) I think it was more that it was Christmas eve and the doctor wanted to get home to her family.lol

    Re: VBAC?

Hello everyone I'm new to this board I had a c-section last year due to the baby heart rate kept

on dropping. I think it was because I was induced for labor. with all the drugs they gave to induce labor. It was amistake on my part.

I would like to try for a vbac this time. but i'm reallly scared out of my mind.  I was wondering how soon can someone try for a vbac

My son will be about 20 months old when i have the baby. I hope thats not too soon.
