This is my first baby and after 2 years of infertility it finally happened!! I am 7 wks and 2 days. I'm just so excited that I have already bought a couple onesies and  a cute outfit. Of course it's all in yellows and greens because we don't know the sex yet. But am I crazy for buying stuff so soon? My husband keeps reminding me that we have plenty of time to buy baby gear.

I don't think you're crazy at all! I know women, some I've talked to through the boards that bought stuff even before they GOT pregnant. I personally just bought my first item for the baby, but that's because I'm a sentimental fool who wanted to remember that first purchase... pregnancy hormones gotta love them. Now tho, all bets are off. It's open season baby purchases!!!!!

Oh wow! Congrats on your pregnancy, I am on my fourth and i totally understand about wanting to buy. Unfortunally i am not allowed to buy anything untill i am 6-7 months along just because of my family if i do find a awesome deal somewhere i have to get my sister to buy it for me and hold it at her house, Just casue of First Nations belifes (sp) they say it is bad luck for a pregnancy (elders) and i totally respect my husbands background.   So i say go crazy and buy what you like, for your situation (trying for 2 yr) i say have fun you and baby deserve it...  Your hubby is probly just being a man and not wanting to start the baby crayz right about now, my hubby dont get excited untill he see's our little babies, if he had it his way he would wait a day before or the day of the birth to buy everything.. lol I guess this is why God made wifes.. :)  Once again Congrats...

i dont think you are crazy for buying stuff now.  i am always watching for sales.  you can save yourself a whole bunch of money that way.  i do the same with Christmas stuff too.  last night i was shopping found some kids necklaces on sale for 75 cents, normally they would of cost $5.00.... ummm ok no brainer i picked up 6 of them because they always need little presents for school, and girl scouts. 

I'm not going to start buying stuff for the baby til I am 5-6 months along that way I know the sex of the baby :) 

 Congratulations! I'm also expecting though I'm not certain how far along I am. I am so excited also. I've been told for years that I would probably have trouble ttc so it was pretty unexpected and I was so happy when I found I out I went to babies r us and I bought some neutral colored footie pjs. I also bought the blue boppy bouncy seat last week, which I found on sale at target. So you aren't the only one! I also kind of went crazy at my local yarn store, I'm an avid knitter and I couldn't wait to get started on making a baby blanket for my own baby finally. I've made dozens for friends over the years. My fiance and I have decided not to find out the sex of the baby so it's going to make shopping pretty tough. I look forward to a good challenge though especially when it involves shopping!

I just found out that I am pregnant. This will be my first. They are estimating that I am around 2months but I think I am a little further. I want to buy baby things already even the cute little sayings, that go on the walls. My whole family is already talking about buying things. So to answer your question, BUY AWAY..be excited for the new life your bringing into the world. I know I am.
