    Very worried

I am 7 weeks and I had some spotting after sex. Is this normal? No pain at all just light pink spotting. I am trying not to worry so much since I hav a doc appt soon. But my husband on the other hand is freaking out. My daughter is 12yo so it has been a while since I have had a pregnancy. We have been trying for 3 years and all of a sudden bam we are pregnant. We are praying that everything goes smooth.

i think its very normal to have this when your in your first trimester. iam 3wks almost 4wks and my bf mom had her period on the 11th and i had experience some spotting. the computer said that it is normal about 20% of women go through it when in there first trimester. i would take a load off on everyday things that you do. thats what my doctor told me to do. i mean your placenta might be continue to form, sex, excercise, might be the cause of it but it is normal. tell your husband to quit freaking out. you can go to e pregancy.com to read on it. i hope everything works out. goodluck

I have never spotted after having sex. Do you do it everytime after sex? If so you need to contact your doctor

Okay, so it’s been a long time but I remember when pregnant with my 14 year old that I had the same issue.  I remember the doctor saying something about my cervix being thinner then it should have been but it wasn’t a huge deal.  I do remember that there were certain stages of my pregnancy that she told me if I have intercourse to be careful- gentle is the better way to put it.  I really can’t remember everything because it has been so long but I do remember that it wasn’t a huge issue.  I also had a period for the first 4 months I was pregnant and I think it was all related.  I wouldn’t stress over it just be sure to consult with the doctor when you go in for your appt and be sure to not have aggressive intercourse- and most importantly if you do not feel comfortable having intercourse until you talk with your doctor then don’t- there are lots of others ways to be intimate with each other without having intercourse.
