Have stories, thoughts or opinions about Alternative Birthing? KQED needs your help!
This week (March 3rd) we’ve launched an online discussion around the topic of alternative birthing and midwifery.
This is an advance conversation in anticipation of this week’s Health Dialogues program (airing Friday, March 7th), which will focus on some of the same issues, as part of a larger broadcast about prenatal care and childbirth. By helping us get the ball rolling, you’ll be able to ensure that we cover the topic with the accuracy and sensitivity it deserves.
We’re looking for a variety of people to come to the site and share their stories:
• those who have experience in assisting with alternative births
• those who are considering alternative birth
• those who had successful alternative birthing experiences
• those who’ve had complications with alternative birthing experiences
• those who went the conventional route, whether they considered alternative birthing or not
• traditional medical practitioners
Our goal is to have an online discussion that will help us prepare for the live show. We’ll highlight some of the most thoughtful online comments on-air, and participants in the online discussion may be invited to join us live for the broadcast.
Feel free to contact me with questions.
