    baby names?

i've been absent from epregnancy lately...too much going on at home!

my question for all of you is...what are you going to name your baby?

i'm 35 weeks along and my husband and i just started discussing names last night.  i've had a list and he's had one too but we haven't really compared them until now. we don't know if we're having a boy or girl so we're trying to narrow down the lists on each side. when my daughter was born we had a list of about ten boys and girls names in the hospital with us and it took us into the night to decide. it'll prbably be that way again but i'm trying hard.

for a boy: i like the name Luca.

i'm trying hard to convince my husband but he's not too sure. he likes Logan which I don't like at all.  other boys names i like are Eli and Owen.

if we went with Luca he would be Luca John.

for a girl: my favorite name on my list is Laila

again, my husband is not sold on that one. he likes it but is not in love with it.  i LOVE it. second choice for a girls name which we both like is Lauren.  Lauren Elizabeth.

i don't know why all of my top names begin with the letter L, i didn't plan it that way.

    any input?

    now...what are your names?

    Re: baby names?

Well i'm only 4 weeks pregnant but my boyfriend and I have our names all picked out.

If its a boy: Noah Josiah

If its a girl: Kayleigh Cierra

I sorta picked them both out, but when i told him he totally fell in love with both of them.

Then if we use both of them we have backups: Landon Anthony for a boy of course, and Kennedy Ava for another little girl.

I hope i've been of some help. Btw i think all the names you have picked out are adorable. I love the name Luca!!!!

I also like the name Luca. It is different.

My first one name is Chase Arthur and my family is real big on the first letter all my aunst and uncles start with a D, then my oldest cousin did the K's. Since my husbands name is Chad we did the C's. After Chase was born I always had the name Chance. I always said if we have another one that would be his name. But now that we are having the second one nobody likes it. I'm still tryiong for it but everyone is now pushing Cody. I don't know what is going to be his first name all I do know is that his middle name is going to be my maiden name Fontana. If anybody has any ideas for a diiferent kind of name that starts with a C then PLEASE let me know.

    Re: baby names?

Both my mother and grandmother have convinced me that if I will give my little girl a nickname, that should be her real name. It can be confusing for a lifetime to have two names. My real name is Rebecca, but for the last 33 years I have been called (and prefer) Becky. My mom has always said she wished she had named me Becky. So, I am going to do just that for my little girl. I love the name Isabelle. But, I would be calling her Izzie her whole life. So, what I decided to do was name her Izzie Belle. That way she gets the name I will always call her, and her middle name also comes from Isabelle. I really like it, and everyone I talk to thinks its adorable.

I would have chosen Devon Daniel for a boy.

I think it really comes down to what your heart is set on. I think you can be creative with almost any name, and still be somewhat traditional with it. All the names you have chosen are adorable.

    Good Luck.

Becky (33) 1st Miracle! Izzie Belle is finally here!!

We don't know what we are having either. We picked out our names early on so we have had them forever. If we have a boy the name will be Connor Danes, and if a girl the name will be Emilia Elizabeth.

I have to go with an R name to fit my first three boys. I have a Robbert, Ryon and Rylie. My four year old gets to pick this time and he is down to the names Reese and Rembrandt. The middle name will be Kane either way. Naming is fun but it's hard to think that they will be stuck with it the rest of their lives, I hated Roberta growing up and always went by Bobbi but at the beginning of every school year the teacher would be calling out Roberta.

    Re: baby names?

We talked about names back in November, but we never concretely decided... I said it would be nice to use a family name as the middle name, so his grandfather (who passed 5 years ago) was Peter... so I LIKE Adam Peter... Mark likes Peter Adam (but the initials would be P A P if we went with his version... I dont think he gets it). Phoenetically Adam Peter sounds better with his last name... we know it's a boy, but funny enough, before we found out we decided instantly on girls names!!! I love the name Adam though, so I'm hoping he really looks like an Adam!
