My due date was Saturday the 19th. And even though my family history shows I will be late, I was most disappointed when my doctor told me today that he could still feel my cervix and it is very closed.

He tells me my little girl loves her mommy so much, she wants to stay for a while. But, I am really sad abou it.

I want to stop working! I now have an hour drive to and from, so I just don't even want to go anymore. I just cannot afford to take time off. I am alone and no one to help financially.

Please help me wish for her arrival to be sooner than later!

Hang in there! They don't stay inside forever I promise. I understand the not wanting to work anymore thing and not being able to stop until the last minute. But keep your head up...She'll be here to cuddle and love soon enough! Good Luck!

Well, I am now just about a week late. The last doctor appointment I had showed no thinning, effacing, dilating, and she is still very high. She has not dropped into my pelvis yet.

Friday I will have a non-stress test and another internal exam. I think he will want to wait some more and maybe schedule an induction for next week.

I am so anxious and starting to get sad.

Don't be sad. Keep in mind that due dates are an inexact science. It will happen! When I was pregnant with my 1st my midwife told me to take evening primrose oil to help ripen my cervix because we knew I was going to be enduced. You could try it, just a suggestion. Good luck and keep your spirits up. I know it feels like a lifetime but you'll be holding your baby before you know it.

that sucks to go past your due date...these first babies just never behave :)

Ok Ladies, Wish Me Luck!

I think my water broke about an hour ago. I called the hospital, but because I am not having contractions yet, they wanted me to wait an hour before coming in. I have to call them again in a few minutes to see if they want me to come in. Every time I stand up I get a gush of fluid.

I may be on the road to join motherhood finally! I will keep you posted and hopefully the next time you see me I will have a precious baby picture to post!

So, I thought my water broke. My doctor said my cervix just makes a lot of mucus. I am only 1 cm right now and my cervix is not ripe. She is still not ready to come out. I am so depressed.

I want to stop working, but I can't afford to take off, and at the same time I can't afford to drive to work with gas prices.

I have another non-stress test on Monday. I really thought something was finally happening and its not.  :(
