We welcomed Rembrandt Reese Kane into the world on April 28. 9lbs 0ozs and 20 3/4 inches long. I knew I was in labor the night before but it wasn't time yet. At 8:30 I called my midwife's office and they said to come on in and they would check my progress. Well to her suprise I was an eight and still smiling, laughing and walking but up to the hospital she sent me. Over the next 3 hours I finished dilating but when it came time to push we found he had his cord wrapped around his neck twice so he didn't want to come down all the way. I still had it easy though and with the midwife's help and 45 minutes of pushing he came out. Screaming as soon as they got the cord off. We are both home now, me a little bruised but no worse for the wear.
