This is a cell phone pic of Izzie when she was 4 hours old. I have others to scan and download. Hopefully I can do it today. I will try to get one with her beautiful eyes open.

As for her birth... I lost my plug very early Wednesday morning and started leaking, what I thought was my water. But, Friday at the doctor he said it wasn't, he said it was cervical mucus. So, I went for a walk Friday afternoon and my water actually broke, but I thought I was just still leaking. Starting at 10pm the contractions came. I finally went to the hospital at 4:30 am. At that time the pains came every 1.5 minutes. But, I was only dilated to 2 cm. By 6:00 am I accepted an epidural. Then my contractions came to a screeching halt. So, they gave me pitocin. My contractions were very weak so they kept increasing the pitocin, but nothing seemed to help. They checked my cervix around noon and to their surprise I was dilated to 4-5 cm. The contractions still came very weak, but they checked again two hours later and I was fully dilated. I pushed a while and needed an episiotomy. Izzie came out face up, but she was born at 4:08 pm. The doctor said because she was face up it would have been a hard labor without the epidural. So, that's my story. It was not only worth the pain, but it was worth the wait.
She is breastfeeding like a champ and is already back at her birth weight!!
