what do you consider 2nd tri?

Hi ladies, I was just wandering if you guys consider the second tri starting at the beginning or end of the 13th week. I always thought it was the beginning but I read something about Dr.'s not considering it until week 14.  Just wondering, one way or the other I'm moving on up to this board. lol

I know, my first tri seemed to go by really fast. Now I think the second is going to go by slow. I can't wait! I have my four month check up on the 5th. I'm hoping she'll schedule my u/s.

I was curious in that question also...I have a few books at home that state week 13 and others that state week 14, and I'm thinking, c'mon I just want to be there.  You and I are very close in our pregnancy.  My due date is 12.2 and I am also going for my next dr. appt's on the 5th.  I am hoping then to schedule the U/S because I can not wait to find out what I am having.  I guess this time we'll be finding the heartbeat with the doppler...at the last appt, I as 10wks and he could not locate it so he sent me for an U/S to confirm and put me at ease (171 was the rate)...as far as doctors go he gives me whatever I want and most of it is without asking...so I lucked out there because I chose him out of a book (literally)....well I wish you well and a speedy 2nd trimester...I think this is the first time ever in my life I want winter to come...LOL.

    Take care, Kim

I just figure once 3 months have gone by, you gotta be in your second trimester. My LMP was April 7th, so I would figure July 7th to be the first day of my 2nd tri. That actually puts me right at the first day of my 13th week.

Wahoo I've moved up a forum board!
