    Need your advice...

My husband and I miscarried on Tuesday, for the second consecutive time.  We lost our first at ten and a half weeks two years ago.  I had some slight spotting that gradually increased until it was bright red.  Our first OB appointment was three days prior; everything was normal and the baby had a good strong heartbeat.  Three days later in the ER, the ultrasound showed no heartbeat.

Fast-forward to a few weeks ago.  The spotting started at six weeks. Brown turned to maroon; spotting turned to bleeding; light cramping  to out-right hard, sharp cramping; maroon turned to bright red.  Friday, the ultrasound (in spite of the bleeding) showed a good strong heartbeat.  Sunday in the ER, no heartbeat.  Tuesday, the D&C officially ended it at nine weeks.  During this, my Progesterone levels dipped slightly around my seventh week, but returned to normal levels with prescribed Prometrium at eight weeks. Because this was our second loss, the baby tissue was sent to a lab for chromosome analysis.  I am to do additional blood work in six weeks when my hormone levels return to normal (non-pregnant levels).

Can anyone offer advice on what to expect next or what I should be asking from the Doctor? My husband and I can get pregnant...we just can't stay pregnant.  Prior to my D&C, the Doctor suggested either an Endocrinologist or a Maternal Specialist. Has anyone been through this or have any advice for us?

    Thanks in advance,

    TJ

I don't have much advice except to talk to your doctor and hang in there.  I had two miscarriages before my first son was born.  I now have two boys.  Every miscarriage hurts and they always will.  Let yourself heal.

    Hello,,

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, Your story sounds somewhat like mine, no trouble getting pregnant, just staying pregnant...

Well, I deceided to take matters into my own hands,  I  told my dr. what was going on, it started when I turned 30, I'm 37 now,

So now, when I want to get pregnant, I take a progresterone cream starting right after my period ends, I get it from Arbonnne International, you can go to their webstite and check them out...

When I did get pregnant, I would have to wait until the Dr. could see me, to check my levels progesterone levels...

They would dip  and then I would lose the baby, before we got the bloodwork or results in...

This is my 4th baby with the cream, it works like a charm...

You start the day you end your period, and continue until about 12 weeks, put it on once a night before bed... Most women start to miscarry at night, that is when your levels drop or rise, HCG is always higher in the morning, thats why you take a pg, test with first morn. urine...

The cream is expensive, its 34.00 I always buy 2 bottles just in case, because when I didn't have 2 bottles I run out, of one, they couldn't ship it to me fast enough, levels dropped, lost baby, at 5 weeks, you have to use it every night, don't skiip...

If this doesn't work for you, your Dr. can give you the pills, but most of the time, they want u to come in, only after you have a postive pg test..

    For us, we couldn't wait....

Hope this helps, don't give up..
