    How's the dec baby club?

Well I wanted to check in and see how all the December mommies are doing...It's been a while since we all chatted

I am on the edge of the dec club, with a due date of 2nd...so one never knows...this is my first so as much as I'd like to be early it probably is not in my future.  (although I have dreams of my water breaking at the thanksgiving table)...I'm sitting at 19wks....just about 1/2 way there which is better than nothing I guess...I have done all my maternal testing for my age group (39) and the AFP and Level II U/S all came back normal and the doctors recommended not taking the risk for Amnio... so I was happy with that.  I did however find out my little bean is a girl....We are undecided on names...I want something different....so I have at least narrowed it down to 2... Bailey Rose or Riley Paige.  Not sure what we will call her, but for now she is my little beanie girl and she is sitting on my sciatica....a real pain in the a$$ if you've ever had the problem.  I have been blessed with an orthopedic belt and physical therapy every week, but it's the price I pay for a healthy little baby, then so be it.  Well, I was curious how everyone else was feeling and if anyone has names picked out.  Drop a line and let's see how our tax deductions are treating us.

    Take care, Kim

It's possible that you will go early.  My first came two weeks early.  My water broke while I was already on the toilet, so that was good.  The only bad thing is my MIL had a baby shower planned for the next day at her house.  I just told my husband that I wouldn't be going to the shower and he asked why and I told him it was time to head to the hospital.  He went to the baby shower by himself and had to play all of the games and open all of the gifts.

Hi, My name is Brandy, I just found your post and thought I would say Hello, I also am due In December, I'm actuall hoping to go 2 weeks past my due date as I've heard that Birthdays on Christmas or even just during the week of Christmas are often not as fun! I am due on Dec. 26. My Mom said Her due date for me was on Christmas day, I was born 1-9-80, But I know! Due dates wern't always as accurate 28 years ago! I think My little one has some how excaped my uterus and is busy tying litteral knots in my stomach and intestines. I dont remember Havinfg this much stomach pain during Pregnancy with my Daughter! However, after reading what you are going through I know I shoud be thankful! I hope your Beanie Girl moves soon befor she gets heavier. I like both of the names you have Chosen, My favorite, Riley Paige. Good luck Choosing between those two names whatever you pick, Its sure to be adorable! We havn't thought a whole lot about Girl names, we Go to try to find out what it is in a few weeks, But we have chosen a boy name, For a Very long time my husband and I wanted to name our first Boy after his Uncle Domanic, who He loved Very Much, But recently We found out that his cousin Is trying to get Pregnant again, and We though we had better ask first, His Aunt was very flattered, but said that His cousin was planning to name a boy, if she had one, after her Father. Although his Aunt thought that we both could use the name, We would never dream of Taking that from His Cousin! So We decided to name a Boy With my husbands Middle name, William, But we Decided We would call Him Lliam, Which I recently discovered was short for William!  I wish good luck and prayers to all.

I think it's adorable that your better half went to the baby shower.  I know my husband would have been so embarrassed and would have asked to post pone it...he is shy in a groups.  My family does not believe in showers...my mom considers it bad luck...so here is hoping maybe there is a party afterwards because this is our first and there are so many things needed.

As for you December baby Brandy....you'll be able to claim the little bean for tax season if it's born in Dec.  Not that it matters, but my accountant always told me the only deduction that is worth it... is the baby born in December...the rest of the year he says you out spend what the govt allows for a deduction anyway...of course he's always looking for a way to get money out of the govt.  (here's hoping for a boy for ya.)

    Wish all well.....Kim

I love the names you have picked out for your little girl!  I don't think I've ever heard either combination before - are they family names?
