So i was supposed to start my period on the ninth and i missed. So I waited till this morning (sunday the 13th) to take HPT. i got a possitive test! woo hoo... great news we've been trying for 8 months. seems to good to be true. one question though... is the line supposed to be that light for pos result? because the line was definatley there... but no where near as dark as the other. i think all that means is my HCG level isnt that high. does it matter its so light? the only symtom i've had besides missing my period is im going to the bathroom lots... but thats about all. Ca you guys tell me what else I can expect in the next few weeks?

Congrats to you.  It does not matter how faint the line is.  The fact of the matter is the hormone is there and it's been detected.  Your hormone levels will double and triple in the next weeks to come.  You boobs will probably get sore.  Mine were not horribly sore but they were sore, I did not notice them getting huge right away like others, but gradually they became much bigger and at 20wks, they are plump.   You may also notice you will get up at night more often to pee.  In the first couple of months you will average 2x per night.  Now I am at least 4x if not more...no fun.

Other than those noticeable changes right away, morning sickness does kick in..for me it was around 6th week.  It did disappear by the second trimester, but I will pray you will not need to know what it is like.  I never felt pregnant or anything happened right away.  Even when the morning sickness was there...I was so nauseous but I could not throw...I felt just sick.  But as the weeks went on, I tried paying attention to everything.  I suggest buying the book "What to expect when your expecting"....I believe the author is on her 3rd edition and it has every question in the world and month by month follow up.  You'll enjoy it.....

Congratulations  - what a great way to start (or is it end?) your week!  I'm not sure why the line was so light but any indication of a line should mean that you are pregnant.

Week 1 is all about getting your body ready for baby so make sure you're getting enough vitamins/minerals and drink lots of water!

I agree with everything the girls already said and recommend the book The Pregnancy Journal.  It is similiar to the recommended book above labeled What to Expect when expecting except for it is a daily account of everything the baby and your body is doing.  It is actually really nice to read each day by day what I am supposed to be feeling or what might be hurting (HA HA) and what is developing the on the baby.

Congratulations!  Don't worry about the faint line.  I had the same thing too.  I know what you're thinking...is the line really there?  In the first trimester expect to feel extremely tired, hungry, and pee alot.  My boobs are swelling now and they're a little sore.  Other than that, I just feel REALLY bloated.  I hope your pregnancy progresses smoothly.  Congrats again!

I am about 10-12 weeks and felt mostly tired and nauseated so far.  I am walking daily and the fresh air helps with the nausea.  Other than that, be sure and take your vitamins, drink lots of water and rest when you need to.  (I have cereal or toast when nothing sounds good) That little one is growing!

I took another test... and i suppose there was more of the hormone, because the line was alot darker. I guess Im so paranoid because we've been wanting this for very long time. But besides peeing alot and beong so tired i dont really have any symptoms. so i hope everything is going to be ok! I keep having bad dreams that i go to the bathroom and i see blood. yucky stuff. so i plan to see a DR tomorrow and i guess we'll go from there!
