Hey!  Well I haven't been on these boards for quite a while.  After much debating my DH and I are trying for #3.  I have high blood pressure which just recently went higher than ever before.  I am currently trying to lower it by reducing my sodium intake and daily exercise....so far so good.  I really don't want to retreat to medicine but I will if I have to.  I am concerned about a pregnancy and high blood pressure.  I was induced with both children due to pre-eclampsia scare.  I'm hoping that third time is a charm and complications will be minimal.  Wish me luck!!  Great to be back on the boards

 

Congratulations KelliBelly! Does your family have a history of high blood pressure? I hope that exercising and diet works for you, but if not, don't fear the medicine. As a mother already, you need to take care of yourself first!

Sure does!  When the Doctor asks me "Soooo, tell me...does anyone else in your family have high blood pressure?"  I respond with "Ummm, yeah.  Father, Mother, and both of my Brothers....I thought I would be the lucky one!"  It's going to be a tough road but one I'm ready to walk.  Thanks for the encouragement!
