    low lying placenta

    Hi all,

Need some help understanding a low lying placenta.  I am a first time mom to be and AMA. I've had many tests and U/S's up until this point and everything has been great....Just had an U/S at 30wks and was told the baby was measuring large, and my placenta is lying low.  Due to the AMA I have had many U/S and none have shown a low placenta up until now, which is not a great thing.  The doc said not to worry at this point because it was not previa but he was stating that C-Section may be my delivery route.... due to the placenta placement, her size and that she is still breech.

Currently at 32wks now and not much has changed. I have another U/S at 34wks.  Wondering if anyone has ever experienced a low lying placenta...I know it can move early on in pregnancy, but not very likely later on...did it result in previa....everything I read about mainly focuses on previa and it sounds really scary.  At this time I am not on bed rest and still working full time.  Also what is the recovery like for C-section...everything I've heard on that does not seem great either what are my chances of my little bean moving into position and pushing that placenta up for a vag delivery...  Any info given would be helpful.

    Thanks ladies
