Hi guys, new to the site and wanted to introduce myself. I am Emily (28), live in Texas with my husband Jason (30). We started ttc October 2006. Got pregnant right away, then miscarried December 4, 2006. After a couple of periods, started trying again in March, found out I was pregnant in May, miscarried again July 19, 2007. My ob referred us to a specialist for an HSG, which showed a very large septum in my uterus, called a septate uterus, which has been there since my mom was pregnant with me. The specialist did a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and uterine septum resection on December 11, 2007. So far the recovery has gone very well, just starting my first period since surgery, and can't wait to start ttc again! The one thing that is pretty weird about the whole situation is now that they have removed the septum, I don't know my own body! I basically have a new uterus. i have always had extremely painful periods, and know when they are going to start days in advance, and with this period there has been VERY minimal cramping. I hope that stays that way! Anyway, that is a short version of my life to date, if anyone on here has the same complications, I would love to chat and compare, hear success stories, etc!
