Your Pregnancy: Week 31 for Baby
By: ePregnancy
Quarterbacks are fired for it. Pentagon officials have to offer public apologies. Your sister did it on your Mom’s birthday. Dropping the ball is rarely a good thing, unless you are little boy, in your 31st week in utero. This week, your peewee Peyton’s testes are making their grand entrance onto the field. He’s also practicing finding the wide receiver as he is finally able to track objects with his eyes. When he's all scrunched up, he's about the size of a volleyball. Even with his head-to-toe measurement of 17", he has a way to go before he can scope out the blitz!
Make Way for Baby
You are headed towards the pregnancy goal line, with only 10 or 11 weeks to go at this point! You are probably making the last of your preparations. Do you have everything you need for when Baby comes home?
Here are a few of the items that our message board members couldn't live without:
-
Cloth diapers -- Even if you don't use them as diapers, you'll find yourself using them for anything from drool dabbers to burp cloths.
-
Glider -- A life-saver on those nights when nothing works but rocking and lullabies.
-
Swing or bouncy seat -- Some babies love them, some hate them, but they are a good way to keep the little sprouts happy, or get them back to sleep.
-
Breastfeeding pillow -- Like the cloth diapers: even if you don't breastfeed, you'll use the pillow for many things.
-
Baby mittens -- Those little fingernails grow at a surprising clip. The mittens will protect against scratches.
-
Carrier or sling -- You'll be able to keep the baby happy and close to you while having your hands free to do other things.
